| Members of the Scenic Hills Youth Sunday School Class delivered several thousand pop top tabs to the Ronald MacDonald house on Sunday morning. The Ronald McDonald House is able to raise approximately $14,000 each year through this program. It was a great experience for our youth to support this worthy charity. |  |

| A group of 17 hardy souls finished off the Reelfoot Rural Ministries mission project on Saturday braving the cool weather to deliver over 2000 pounds of food and a truckload of toys to the Reelfoot mission. For more on the project and to see additional pictures, click "read more" below. |

As some of you know, when I was twenty I dropped out of the church. I didn’t want or think I needed church. I didn’t even like it. Oh, I never stopped believing in God, but I did stop believing in “organized religion” i.e. the established church. This in part was due to the fact that I was taught that I was going to hell if I didn’t do certain things. Today, I call that “the fear factor.”
